Bear heart fundraiser

Your mission counts: help us to make little hearts beat faster

Our goal: Help!

PAPERSHRED has therefore set itself the goal of supporting these great tasks. We will pay out 3% from every service contract and every booked container to the Bärenherz Foundation. With this campaign we would like to support this wonderful institution and set a good example. Therefore, help us to send a signal with your order, a signal for children who face death and for the unspeakable suffering that these children have to share with their families.

The Bärenherz Foundation in Wiesbaden is one of the few children’s hospices in Germany. Seriously ill children are lovingly cared for there, cared for and provided with all necessary palliative measures. But the Bärenherz is much more. Children with life-threatening illnesses are there among like-minded people, they realize that they are not alone in their difficult fate and that everything humanly possible is being done for them to deal with their illness, but also to be prepared for the inevitable death. Despite the enormous mental stress, there is a happy atmosphere in the Bärenherz, which is framed by educational and musical therapies. It is characterized by a philosophy of listening, security and very loving, individual care and attention.

Affected parents know what it means to have a terminally ill child. Such a cruel stroke of fate causes her world to collapse.

The human catastrophe begins with the life-threatening diagnosis of her child. It continues with painful therapies, coping with everyday life and a mental challenge that often breaks parents. With all these difficult tasks, the team at the children’s hospice is not only available to the affected children, but also to the parents and siblings as a contact person at this enormously difficult, unavoidable threshold of their lives. The employees comfort, relieve and decide together with the parents what form of care and accommodation should be granted to a seriously ill child. They know that this is the worst stroke of fate that children and their parents can meet. It not only collapses all life plans, but also brings additional problems when there are more children to look after in the family.

The Bärenherz children’s hospice therefore enables complete inpatient admission with care and support as well as hourly accommodation.

The work of the Bärenherz children’s hospice, which was awarded the Bambi in 2008, is very comprehensive. The team of employees accompanies children and their parents from the time of diagnosis to qualified end-of-life care and even after the child has died. Mourning work, coping with this unbelievably moving life crisis and planting trees for deceased children in the life forest, commemoration events and much more are tasks that require a lot of money in addition to the tireless efforts of highly motivated employees. Since Bärenherz is not publicly funded, it is always dependent on sponsors and donations in order to continue to be able to guarantee the honorable work.
