where we come from

Although PAPERSHRED® document destruction , founded in July 2010 , is a fairly young company in Mainz, the idea for this service company has existed for many years. It all started when company founder Andreas Schulze considered in 2003 what commercial enterprises would do with the huge mountains of files that accumulate over time.

The trained gas and water fitter first found out about service companies for document destruction via the Internet and was surprised to find that there were a few such companies in Germany, but none of them were based in the vicinity of the Rhineland-Palatinate state capital. This of course aroused the interest of the native of Mainz all the more. But after intensive research into the industry and the necessary equipment, Andreas Schulze quickly realized that a high investment volume is required for a professional service company in the field of secure and reliable document destruction.

Since the necessary start-up capital was initially lacking, Andreas Schulze founded an OHG together with a partner, which specialized in removals and disposal services. As the owner and managing director of this company, the man from Mainz, who was born in 1981, acquired the necessary business know-how to found a company that operates in a very sensitive area. At the same time, the financial cushion that Andreas Schulze had earned with the well-run waste disposal company ensured that he was able to realize his dream of his own document shredding company. After six successful years, he left the OHG to found the PAPERSHRED document destruction company.
